Principals Message

Welcome to Konini Primary School’s web site.  I take pleasure in welcoming new and prospective parents, as well as our existing learning community.This web site provides general information for our parents as a guide to the scope of programmes and activities offered at Konini School.

Konini Primary offers the following: We are a future focused school with a strong community and family focus, offering an up to date curriculum presented by experienced, talented and knowledgeable  staff, with a strong information and technology base.

As a staff we have developed a curriculum for our community, one that is relevant, authentic and engaging. Our learners are at the centre of all that we do, nurtured and supported to realize their full potential through a wide range of curriculum activities. We have an outstanding behaviour management system that reinforces our restorative approach.

Our children learn to own their choices and to understand that to have a purpose in life is to have a life of purpose.

Of particular interest to new parents or parents whose children will be attending school, is our "transition to school” programme that will guide you and assist you on your child’s journey to school.

Our weekly newsletters keep you up to date with current events.

A positive partnership between you, as parents and the school is the key to our success and we invite you to become actively involved in the education of your child.



We have a very progressive, supportive Board of Trustees and active Parent Teacher Association in the school. We also provide a wide range of opportunities for you to participate in the school programme for the good of all our pupils.
