If you are thinking of enrolling your child we encourage you to contact the office.  Ideally, we would appreciate enrolments to be completed a minimum of a term before a child’s 5th birthday. This helps us to plan ahead and ensure that new entrants have the opportunity to attend our pre-school visits.


Please be aware that in order to preserve the current optimum size of our school, we operate an enrolment scheme.

Students living outside our school zone will need to complete an Out of Zone Application form and submit to the office prior to our published closing date, ready for our ballot process.

Students living inside our school zone have automatic entitlement to enrolment.

When you come in to complete the enrolment documentation please bring along the following information;

  • New Zealand Birth certificate


  • Overseas Birth Certificate and copy of relevant Visa / NZ Citizenship Certificate

  • Immunisation information

  • Proof of address - to confirm In Zone status

Konini School's Home Zone is defined as:

Starting at the intersection of Glengarry Road (179,172 and below included) and Autumn Ave head east to Glendale Road (117-125 and 112-126 included). Head south along the middle of Kaurilands Road (70 and above included) then west along the middle of Konini Road (1-87 included) and head west along Wirihana Road. Head west along Paewai Road; follow the boundary west along Konini School to Phillip Avenue and north to Glengarry Road, west back to the starting point.


All residential addresses on included sides of boundary roads and no exit roads off included sides of boundary roads are included in the zone unless otherwise stated.

  • Out of zone applications for 2025 should be received by 15 October 2024.

  • The ballot for our 2025 intake will take place on Wednesday 23 October 2024.  All applicants will be advised of the outcome on the day via email.

Each year the board will determine the number of places which are likely to be available in the following year for the enrolment of students who live outside the home zone.  


The board will publish this information by notice in a daily or community newspaper circulating in the area served by the school.  The notice will indicate how applications are to be made and will specify a date by which all applications must be received. Please contact us for current out of zone enrolment places available.
